About the Journal

Indonesian Journal of Medical Linguistics is a double blind peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes original research articles and critical studies at the intersection of linguistics, medicine, and health communication. This journal is published twice a year as a platform for the dissemination of theoretical, empirical, and interdisciplinary findings that explore how language is used, interpreted, and negotiated in medical, clinical, and healthcare contexts. It addresses a broad range of topics, including but not limited to medical discourse analysis, doctor–patient communication, clinical interaction, health narratives, language and illness, medical terminology and semantics, health communication in media and digital platforms, cross-cultural medical communication, and language-centered approaches to healthcare practices and policies.

ASJC Code: 3310 – Linguistics and Language; 2700 – Medicine (General Medicine)

By publishing in Indonesian Journal of Medical Linguistics, authors become part of an international scholarly community dedicated to advancing theoretical, applied, and interdisciplinary perspectives on the role of language in medical practice, healthcare delivery, and patient experience. The journal welcomes contributions from established academics, early-career researchers, and doctoral scholars who seek a reputable and forward-looking venue for impactful studies that integrate linguistic analysis, communication practices, and medical perspectives across clinical, institutional, and socio-cultural contexts.
