Khatulistiwa Journal of Sociolinguistics focuses on applied linguistics research to provide readers the current issues in sociolinguistics and antropolinguistics, and emerging methodologies in socio-cultural linguistics research that benefit readers in the study of language for social and cultural context.

Khatulistiwa Journal of Sociolinguistics does not limit the area of morphology, pragmatics, critical discourse analysis, semantics, and translation in the coverage area of sociolinguistics.
